So we’d like to ask your opinion on this one. Which toy do you think is the most customizeable platform toy of all time? Do you guys favor the defined edges and flat surfaces featured in a toy like the MadL or the Supermodifieds? Or do you like the smooth curves and soft lines on the Munny and Dunny?

Overall, painting a toy that is easily assembled and disassembled is a huge benefit because you don’t have to deal with funny angles with the brush. From a constructive standpoint, a piece like the MadL lends the best to tacking on accessories.

Another consideration are things like a toys workability. Manufacturers often refer to a term called durameter. This is an index measuring a materials hardness. With a higher number, the material is harder, but more brittle. A lower number would imply softer, more maleable material. It’s nice that many toy manufacturers use a softer vinyl allowing designers to blaze through with drills and dremels to do whatever has to be done… nicely.
