Josh Pearce debuts Order of the Arcane

Back in August when Delicious Drips and Just Blazed hosted the Munny Grubbers contest, Josh Pearce whipped out a stunning piece that nabbed him a 3rd place finish in online voting. He clearly put on his thinking cap and did some homework, because now he is hosting a solo show at Red Hot Robot. Check it:

This show is centered around Josh’s codexian characters, the main inhabitants of a strange and ancient world of many unique practices of Majik. Long ago, each study of Majik was divided and harnessed by 13 seperate houses, 6 of the “Old Majiks” 6 houses of “The new world” and one that we do not speak of.

This show will center around the 6 ancient Majiks: White, Black, Oceanic, Earth, Blood and Astral Majik. it will feature many uniquely customized vinyls as well as a few paintings and possibly a very limited edition print release (if everything goes according to plan). There are many expressions captivated in custom toys, but almost nobody gets “MAJESTIC” the same way Josh Pearce does.

Josh’s feature piece, “The Astral Codexian”, is composed of resin, acrylic, and crystal on a clear acrylic stand. Hell, the materials alone sound like it must have been a fortune to make this stunning cover piece.

And a little back story ( Each piece will come with a back story which is very important because otherwise, you just have this crazy awesome piece of art with no context….just kidding…no but stories are awesome)

“The Astrals are the least seen and understood of the houses of Majik. The astrals are believed to be the closest of the majiks to the enlightened, with abilities to bend and fold time and space itself. They are particularly wise and well tempered as “Transcended Codexians”. Due to their elusive nature, and ability to shift planes, Astrals are considered to be more of a wives’ tale than an actual entity.”
